Review of Turok on xbox 360

When Heather got me an Xbox 360 they threw in Turok as a free game. I finally got around to playing it and I can see why they gave you it for free, no one would pay for this game. I finally got around to trying it out about two weeks ago and I maybe played for two hours before giving up with it. It was not that the game is hard it just not a really good game.

The graphics in Turok on Xbox 360 are decent although enemies, items and pathways do tend to get lost in the background at times. The sound is not great, the weapons really don’t have much umph behind them so it feels like you are running around with a pee shooter, maybe this gets better later on.

From what I played of the game it is very linear which I do not mind generally speaking but Turok take linear game play to an extreme. Basically most of the game is just following a path and dinosaurs and random mercenaries attack you.

Another annoyance is that the game use check points to save, which drives me nuts. The Xbox 360 has a hard drive in it, you use it for saved games. What is even more annoying the fact there is a menu option to save, why is that there I have no reason, the game saves are check points only.

Here is a funny little review of Turok that pretty much sums my feelings on this one.
